It is getting closer, I got back from Santa Clara today with all the parts to convert my Mark to manual.

I picked everything up for $695. Now I just need to coordinate with Jeremy and Bryan to help out with it. hehe

looking good, I have asked him if has something a little stronger there to put togehter, I dream of making at least 350hp, so I think I may as well have the tranny right the first time. Looking good as I said.

Default 2007 The Lincoln Mark VII Club Events (March)

88mk7man, from what i've read getting rid of the DOA, oops AOD is worth about a second in the qtr mile. I'd say you got a smokin deal on the whole swap package. I've had my Mark since '96 and have tried to keep up on the sevens.

I see you are in Elk Grove, I work out here on Laguna and Bruceville at Audio Xpress. I also happen to be your friendly neighborhood West Coast Lincolns webmaster. hehe Come on in and check us out sometime. I have a few mods to my Mark, mostly suspension work. From what I hear the 5 speed conversion is good for about a second off your 1/4 mile time.

That sounds like a plan, do you work Monday - Friday? I ran into your link for West Coast Lincolns on the Lincoln vs. caddy site in a aluminum driveshaft link.
Up untill last summer I had the factory stereo and amp in my 7, but it went funky on me, not sure if it was the radio or the amp. I have replaced the amp 3 times already, but this time it was different??? Do you know how to test either unit? I've p/u parts at the Pick n Pull, but you know how that crap can be...
I sent you a photo to your webmaster email, is it possible that it can be used for my avatar, and or the members photo gallery?
Thanks Rick

Default Purchase Question on 84 Mk VII Diesel

Hi. Just joined because want to purchase a silver 84 in Sacramento area with 80K for $1000, nice body and interior, but sat 12 years. Is price good for this and what make/year 5 speed trans. works. With auto trans., what kind of mpg can one expect.....thanks, Brian 775-727-4137

Did you buy the 84?

Are you still looking at it?
