The Lincoln Mark VII Club held it’s first northern California meet in San Jose on November 08, 2008.
![]() (L-R) Don's '88, Jeremy and Mary's '92 SE, Brian's '88, Art & Kat's '90 SE, Cody's '89 Jeremy Koerner (MACHVII) coordinated the event. He chose to hold the meet at Pedro's Restaurant & Cantina, 3935 Freedom Circle, Santa Clara, CA 95054. All in all, the turnout was great. Along with Jeremy and his wife Mary, Bryan Bevington, Don Fulk, Cody Moore, and Art & Kathy Bailey showed up to round out the crowd and show support for the Northern California folks, just as Jeremy and Mary have supported the southern California members on many occasions. ![]() It seems that Art & Kat and Cody are the only ones who didn’t have an extra pedal and a funny looking shifter! They like to go fast and leave their signatures on the asphalt in the form of big black marks, there in the north part of the state. Although all the cars were pretty special, Cody’s 1989 LSC was a real crowd pleaser. This car belonged to his great grandfather and was passed to Cody. His grandfather, upon taking delivery of the car, which he purchased new, placed a piece of carpet over the trunk carpeting to protect it. It is there today. He kept a logbook of everything that was done to the car including all fuel, mileage and price, not to mention any maintenance. Cody is also in possession of the original window sticker, warrantee card and anything that came with the car. The car looks as if it were delivered yesterday. It is truly one of the finest examples I have personally seen. ![]() With rain threatening, we retreated to the comfort of the restaurant. Jeremy & Mary's selection was perfect and the food was great. You can find these and all the photos at: http://thelincolnmarkviiclub.org/Gallery/20081108ca After a great lunch, Jeremy took Cody for a ride in his 351-powered MACHVII. I’m glad that Cody has a pilot’s license because at least one of them can legally fly. I'm not sure weather Cody or Jeremy had the bigger smile! I looked at the suspension and performance mods on these cars and I am truly impressed with all of these cars. Like most folks I have met at the club meets, these folks are really great to be around and very knowledgeable. I learned allot from this group. It was a wonderful trip and these guys REALLY know their stuff when it comes to going fast in a Mark VII. All these cars and their owners are remarkable in their own way. Thanks again for the fun. Jeremy,
Ya just never know.... If you figure that 20 cars will show up, you'll be sitting in the parking lot alone. If you figure that 2 cars will show, someone detours the Mark VII only lane of the freeway into the parking lot... <shrug> It's a crap shoot every time! We had fun and look forward to doing it again.
